She’s Scottish … vicious, vivacious, sexy, cute and sublime, all at the same time. The music is nothing short of breathtaking.
She uses loopers, bangs on her guitar for percussion and performs before enormous crowds, often with an acoustic guitar, keeping the composition very clean. She’s an outstanding entertainer!
While practicing tonight I ran into this live performance by KT Tunstall. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
Amazing! She reminds me of Chrissie Hynde, Chrissy Amphlett, Jewel, Patty Smyth and a little Ricky Miller, too!
Here she is performing before a big crowd in the pouring rain. No problem! What this three-piece band is capable of!
Did you watch it? It’s a good one! At about 22 minutes in, she’s doing Seven Nation Army with a kazoo. And it works! 🙂
Tunstall is currently touring the US, which brings her to the East Coast (CT and NH) for a few shows in August.
I’ll drop another version of “Suddenly I See” here, so you can see Tunstall do a demo of the Boss VE-8 vocal and guitar pedal, which she ingeniously uses to bring up background vocals … watch!
If you’re a musician caught in the whirlwind of creative energy this woman puts out …. here’s the special sauce … lyrics and chords!
And I completely forgot to practice!
Oh well, it was a great night anyway!
