GoFundMy Nobility + Win A Prize!

I should call my new “Kickstarter” campaign “Fund My Hobby!”

dragon flyingBut I won’t, because that makes it sound like it’s not worth a Nobel Prize!

When I was young, I saw Bob Dylan on TV. My mom explained he made money playing guitar and singing. Looked pretty simple to me!

Now, older and wiser, with a better appreciation for how the music industry works, understanding the intense practice behind the scenes, I still am impressed not with the intricacy or perfection of a performance, but with how easy it looks. Like Ted Koppel delivering the news; effortless.

Rocket Man Science

Whoever invented the business of making money playing guitar, writing songs and singing was a genius! But beyond the success of Dylan and my mom’s non-technical explanation, in reality … if you want me to say the task at hand is very difficult … I can’t!

Sure, the preparation is hard work, but the final delivery should appear effortless. Singing is a blessed occupation! It needs to be enjoyed or it doesn’t work!

Singing needs to feel accidentally authentic; the ease of it mixed with precision and evident preparation creating what we know as “entertainment.”

It’s not heavy lifting! But entertainment, done well, has been in demand forever; important enough even to be delivered Bob Hope-style to soldiers overseas! Music is inspiration! It doesn’t fade away for anything!

Entertainment is important, but its delivery is done with the lightest touch. Guitar forgives the wrist strain of the computer era, and singing doesn’t require the ability to see, when your eyes are strained, like mine, from staring at liquid crystals. Once an artist has practiced enough, it should be easy.

It’s a wonder, a joy, and important; but music just can’t feel like work.

So, please fund my hobby! Seriously!

Upcoming Performance and Kickstarter!

I’m guilty of being good at writing, producing and performing! If I keep working on it I’m bound to win a nobel-sounding award! Seriously!

Besides, I’m in way too deep to stop!

So, let’s make music together!

I can be found tomorrow evening (which may be tonight if you’re reading this tomorrow) (Tues., Nov 7) at the Tapped Apple in Westerly, RI, performing from 7-9, doing what I love, playing music and singing!

I’ll also have a “GoFundMe,” where you can pre-purchase my next CD, “Globe of Time,” and second novel “Share The Moon, E.2, Esteban Escobar.” Please take a look at the Kickstarter when it launches tomorrow (Tuesday), support my dreams, and win us all some glorious nobility! See you soon!
